Creative hubb have recently joined ‘Make it British’ and are delighted to be part of a network of like-minded people, actively supporting and campaigning to support British manufacturing companies.

Here at Creative hubb we are passionate about British brands and UK manufacturing. We believe that British clothing and textile manufacturers are some of the most skilled and experienced there is, with the knowledge and skills to produce the most complicated of products at the highest quality.

We are extremely passionate about championing our sewing machinists in the UK, with years of experience working with a team of machinists in Coventry to supply world leading Defence products we have seen first-hand how long it takes to train and nurture the skills learnt in the fashion and clothing industry and apply them in the engineering and defence sector to produce lifesaving equipment.

There is already a huge concern for the sustainability and longevity of the current clothing and textile industry in the UK, from costs driving brands to seek an offshore supply chain to an aging population of expertly trained workers we are facing difficult times, which may in time, see the highly skilled techniques of the clothing manufacturing industry being lost forever. As important as that is, and as much as we support campaigns to improve this situation, our plight doesn’t stop there… Without these highly skilled sewing machinists and textile product engineers such as ourselves who will continue to develop and produce the UK defence products of the future? Who will the UK MOD and Police forces look to to supply our armed forces with lifesaving products? Shouldn’t UK manufacturing be supplying our own defences? Shouldn’t the Government be more active in supporting the MOD to buy British? What happens next?
