Coventry & Warwickshire's Fashion & Textile Creative Network Event - February 9th 2024
With Guest Speaker, Textile Artist Julia O'Connell
It was great to see so many people attend this event, we were treated to a fascinating insight into the world of Textile Artist Julia O’Connell. Juila’s sustainable artwork is enchanting and beautifully creative, she spoke to us about some of her previous projects many of which have a heartfelt and meaningful origin. Her work explores traditional textile processes and live performance, drawing inspiration from memories of family members and historical events aslongside poignant moments of Activism and Democracy. Julia promotes and encourages others to be socially engaged in the world around us, practicing and encouraging self care rituals and to observe and be curious about one’s surroundings
