Coventry & Warwickshire's Fashion & Textile Creative Network Event - April 19th 2024
We are so excited to be celebrating the Creative Network's 1st Anniversary
We will be welcoming Textile Artist Julie Joannides as our guest speaker and have some exciting updates about the network and it’s future
Join us on Friday April 19th at 10.30am - 12.30pm.
At The Daimler Powerhouse in Coventry.
Our guest speaker Julie Joannides
After taking a break from her craft, Julie is back working as a textile artist in the local area and will be talking to us about her work and how it feels to be re-launching her textile art career. Julie has a background in working to commission and is passionate about textiles and our relationship to them, exploring movement and texture in her work and giving new life to fabrics that have been repurposed.
Looking to the future
Launching the Network Events last April was both a daunting and exciting time for us here at Creative hubb Ltd. We had no idea what to expect or how much support it would gain, some of you will remember the very first event where we had no itinerary and no idea if anyone was going to turn up!
We have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement you have all shown over these past 12 months and feel like the Anniversary event is the perfect time to solidify our place as an ‘official’ network group. One with a committee of like minded, enthusiastic and dependable team members, a plan for the future and some exciting new branding.
The Anniversary event will see the Committee team members introducing themselves and discussing how they plan to offer their support to the group over the coming year. We are also super excited to be launching our new look logo and branding at the event, and of course, no Anniversary is complete without CAKE!
